I was born in Hudson but grew up in Menomonie, Wisconsin.
I graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College with degrees in History and Political Science & a minor in Women's Studies. I worked on a Master of Arts in Teaching at UW-River Falls. Before I had children, I worked in publishing and at a St. Paul manufacturer doing bookkeeping and customer service.
Recently I've worked as a part-time bookkeeper for our family rental management company and managing our family investments.

We love Hudson and especially North Hudson!
My husband Pat and I have lived in North Hudson since 1993, the same year we were married. Pat is a CPA and President of Olsen Thielen & Co., Ltd. My twins are 2021 graduates of Hudson High School and are off at college working on their epic life stories!
My favorite things to do in my free time are to spend time with my family and friends, travel, read books, learn new things, craft, drink coffee and play with my very good dogs, Piper and Indigo (Rated 14/10 on the good dog rating scale)

- Treasurer of Hudson School Board (Dec 23-present)
- Voting Delegate at Wisconsin Association of School Board Member Assembly (2022 & 2024)
- Currently serving on the board of Hudson SAFE-Student Alcohol Free Events which most notably hosts the Senior All Night Party, but has also sponsored mental health education events, expert panel discussions & provided mental health resources to parents
- Member of Women's Retreat Planning Committee at Bethel Lutheran Church
- Former member of Bethel Highlands Preschool Board and Secretary of Bethel Church Council
- Sunday school teacher and confirmation guide,
- Volunteer at North Hudson Elementary (reading groups, co-lead Scholastic Book Fair)
- Co-lead Hudson Middle School Parent Group and helped with fundraising
- Served on the Executive Board of Hudson Backpack Program where I was Secretary and Vice-President
- Part of leadership of community group that worked to pass the referendum that remodeled and expanded Hudson High School on its current site in 2016
